Day 1: Arrival-Volcanoes national Park

gorilla-rwandaPick up from the airport on arrival, have lunch in Kigali, get on the road to Volcanoes national park for 3 hours.  Virunga National Park is in the magnificent Virunga Mountains, located in the Northern Province of Rwanda, on the border of Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. The Virunga Mountains consist of six Volcanoes which include Karisimbi, Bisoke and Mikeno Volcanoes, and are home to the famous gorilla families and various other animals. The vegetation in the park is mainly Bamboo and rainforest. Apart from Mountain Gorillas, other animals like golden monkeys, chimpanzees live in this place too. Arise early in the morning, have breakfast and drive to the park headquarters. Get briefed and begin the tracking. Gorilla tracking takes 2-8 hours depending on the movements.   A maximum time of 1 hour is allowed to do photography and admire the gorillas. Return to the base have lunch, dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 3: Departure – Breakfast, drive back to Kigali, have lunch, proceed to the airport for your departure flight
