Day 1: Nyungwe Forest National Park
Meet and greet with your driver/guide and drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park with enroute stopover in Nyanza to visit the traditional palace of Rwanda’s Former King. Proceed to the park for meals and overnight stay at the Lodge/ Hotel. FB

Day 2: Chimp trekking-Butare Cultural Museum
We will have an early breakfast to be on time for briefing at the park headquarters. You will start to track the chimpanzees, during the trek you may be able to see some other primates like the Columbus monkeys, forest birds. After lunch you will visit a cultural museum in Butare and hot springs in Bugarama then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 3: Lake Kivu-Kigali
After breakfast, you will take a boat ride on Lake Kivu visiting the different islands with lots of sightseeing of the beauitiful scenearies. Later return to Kigali for dinner and overnight stay at the Hotel. FB

Day 4: Volcanoes National Park
Early imorning after breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, on arrival visit the batwa pygmies, other local communities, and Local Dian Fossey projects time allowing to interact with the Rwandan people which is a good experience. Drive to the Lodge for dinner and overnight. FB

Have an early breakfast and gather at the park headquarters for briefing, you will then go in the mist to track the rare mountain gorillas which may take from 2 hours or more depending on the location of the gorillas. After we will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. FB

Day 6: Karisoke Gorilla Research Centre
After breakfast, visit Karisoke Gorilla Research Centre founded by Dian Fossey who dedicated her life as primatologist to conserve the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. If time allows you may visit the twin Lake Burera and Lake Ruhondo with yet beautiful views of the virunga, while here, you could participate in fishing with local fishermen using local fishing methods or simple interact with the local people and take a boat ride Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day 7: Departure
Awake to a relaxed breakfast and drive back to Kigali. Our lunch will be served in Nyirangarama and and also visit the Urwibutso Eco-tourism Project which is th leading in the production of organic fruits and vegetables. A visit to this project is greatly impacts the local communities. We will proceed to Kigali for a drop off at the hotel or Airport. HB
