Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe forest National Park
Nyungwe forest is one of most ancient equatorial rain forests in Africa and the largest park in Rwanda with a record of over 13 primate species. This morning transfer to Nyungwe forest national park the home the chimpanzees and the colobus monkeys in Rwanda, enjoy your diner and overnight at the Nyungwe safari lodge.
After breakfast, join your guide to the briefing point before the tracking starts. Proceed to the forest in search for the chimps, they are very sociable creatures and are one of the few primates that form complex communities. The chimpanzees are pale in size when compared to mountain gorillas, though without denying, we humans have a big percentage likeness with the chimps.Look out for other forest residents like the colobus monkeys in the forest with overnight at Nyungwe safari lodge
Day 3: Transfer to Kibuye
Kibuye is one of the most attractive and relaxation points in Rwanda. not surprisingly, most activities here revolve around lake Kivu, guest enjoy sun bathing and a swim in the cool lake waters.. Enjoy your overnight at the plush lodges and hotels on the shores of Lake Kivu.
Day 4: Transfer to Parc National de Volcans
The park is strategically located in Kinigi Village approximately 40 minutes drive from Musanze depending on the weather of the day. Enjoy your drive from Kibuye with great views of the tea plantations along the slopes of the hills, proceed to the park with overnight either in Kinigi or Musanze, please note that you are required by 7am at the briefing point. It is much safer and wiser to spend a night close to the park.
Despite the scary size of the mountain gorillas, a meeting with the gorillas is an unforgettable experience. After the briefing about the tracking conduct, the rangers will be glad to lead you to your hosts. During your gorilla tracking, lookout for other animals and plants that are residing in the forest, including various birds singing in the tree. You are allowed approximately an hour watching the gorillas and then transfer back to your starting point. Be glad at least you have a won a certificate of trekking in the forest to search the gorillas. Enjoy your overnight at your previous lodge.
Day 6: Transfer to Kigali for city tour
The city of Rwanda Kigali features stunning views of the green hillsides, flowering plants, clean streets and winding boulevards. In the morning depart Parc National des Volcanoes for Kigali. Enjoy an afternoon city tour around the Kigali’s finest attractions including the National museum, genocide sites, craft markets and souvenir shops.
Day 7: Reserved for departure
