2 Days  Akagera Wildlife Safari- Wildlife tours in Rwanda

Game viewing  Safari in Rwanda’s top wildlife park. The Akagera is popular destination for game drives  with  a large population of Giraffe, bufalo and elephant herds. Other activities include boat rides on the Kagera river

Day 1: Kigali – Akagera National Park

Pick up from the lodge or airport and transfer to Akagera National Park. Akagera National Park borders with Tanzania and is dominated to the east by the maze of swamps and lakes that follow the meandering course of the Akagera River. The vegetation is mainly acacia woodland interspersed with open grassland, high rolling hills along the western boundary, and patches of thick forest.

It is home to large herds of buffalo, giraffe, zebra, elephants, dozens of antelopes, most commonly the handsome impala, but also oribi and bushbuck, as well as the topi. Leopard and hyena might be seen on a night drive. For hippos and crocodiles can be spot while on a boat trip on Lake Ihema. It is home to about 525 species of birds. On arrival, you will do a game drive. Dinner and overnight at the lodge


Day 2: Boat ride – Kigali

Breakfast, go for a boat ride. Return to the lodge and later driver back to Kigali or airport for your departure flight.
